Founder and Director Stephen Bimson started to branch out into the world of community dance practice whilst still completing his own training at Rambert.  Inspired by the transformative power dance had on his own life, he began to see the deeper potential of the artform and now wishes to provide a space where others are given the same opportunity.

Born from this inspiration, Stephen started the community outreach division which provides children, in residential care, with the chance to participate in a wide variety of dynamic dance and theatre training.

Our community outreach programs focus on developing creative and critical thinking skills, perseverance and personal resilience - tools which will be indispensable as they prepare to reintegrate into Cambodian society.

Students initially join the school for one of our short term Community Dance Performance Projects.

Students who have completed one or more of our Community Dance Performance Project have the opportunity to continue their training and develop their skills as a dancer, choreographer and/or teacher through one of our Vocational Programs By providing access to these programs it is our aim to prepare them to eventually work at EBTC or set up their own projects.
